On the western corner of St. Martin, lies pink sand Bay Rouge (giving it its name) – the best local, non-touristy beach on island. It is a quiet and intimate beach with a spectacular view. Neighboring Plum Bay (baie Prune) is even more secluded. Both are restaurant-free. Great for walking, snorkeling, swimming or sunbathing.

Mullet Beach is a perfect place for swimmers and surfers and a preferred hangout for locals on the weekends. Its long white sand beach is known for the regular roll of its waves making it a surfer’s delight. A gentle sloping access into the sea makes it perfect for swimmers. Quench your thirst, feast on ribs or chicken or indulge in that must-have pina colada at one of the beach bars.

This bay is the most private beach on the island, the “secret” gem. Looking for real seclusion on a Caribbean Beach? Here it is! This is your chance to go ‘au natural’. No restaurants, no tourist shops, and no prudes allowed on this clothing optional beach. Finally get that perfect tan. A short rocky walk or boat trip connects Happy Bay with Friars Bay.

This amazing little island just north of Anse Marcel offers some of the best snorkeling and diving on the island for both the novice and the expert. Creole rock is part of the ecologically protected marine park. Swimming with turtles is an attraction here and will give you a great tale to tell back home. Paradise for parrot fish with pretty colors. Snorkeling and observing of many gannets, meeting lobsters, beautiful red-bellied groupers, grunts. Small island presents a large marine life.

Feel like a “king or queen for the day” on beautiful Tintamarre. After all, at one time this now deserted island had its own king, navy and airline. After arriving at Baie Blanche you can swim, snorkel, sunbathe or shuffle your sandy toes over to the island’s second beach just a short but rocky hop away. Part of the marine park, Tintamarre is home for many spectacular species of fish. If we’re lucky you’ll also encounter Sea Turtles and even stingrays.

Orient Bay beach continues to be a top destination on St. Martin. Orient Bay is often called the Caribbean Riveria. Spectacular! Dramatic! Restaurants and water sports galore! This two-mile long white powder sand beach has it all. Umbrellas and chairs are readily available, several dozens of beach bars with a great happy hour offers, and many shops to enjoy. People-watching is a full-time job on this beautiful beach.
For those who like an all-over tan head to the southern part of the beach for the “au-natural” section. It too has its own beach bar.
Do not miss this wonderful stretch of sand.

Baie Longe is perched on the southern end of the french lowlands (terre basse). It is the longest stretch of white sand in St. Martin. Perfect for sunbathers. La Samana, perhaps the finest of the many resorts in St. Martin, shares the view and approves of your choice of beaches.

At the western end of the Princess Juliana airport, the island’s major airport, lies a small strip of white sand called Maho Beach. This is the normal landing approach for all commercial flights. Maho is home to the Sonnesta hotel and a number of restaurants and shops and a casino.

Gustavia, the harbor capital of the eclectic St. Barths, is definitely something to visit! In the middle of the winter this is a home for some of the most spectacular yachts on the planet. Stroll along the quay and marvel at the size and elegance of these vessels.
Or you can shop for the latest and most famous fashion brands for as long as your heart desires.
A short hike will take you to the Fort Karl to enjoy the vistas of the Gustavia harbor! On top of the opposite shore, you can find a lighthouse and just as stunning view! Strolling down the street you find many remnants of the Swedish history including Swedish street signs, Swedish Clock Tower and Swedish Jail. The Clock Tower and Jail are quaint buildings, also up a bit of a hill, everything here is up-hill…
While enjoying all that hiking, keep in mind to stay hydrated, and for that Gustavia offers plenty of restaurants and caffe on the boardwalk.

Best accessed by boat, this secluded caramel-color sand beach is stunning. One of St. Barths’ best beaches, Colombier ’s calm waters make it ideal for snorkeling. If you are looking for that private island sanctuary to restore and renew, here it is!
Anse de Colombier bay and beach is on of our favorite anchorages in the West Indies. Difficult to access by land which makes for that special feeling. The bay contains more than a dozen well maintained moorings which are free! You are close to Gustavia without the crowds and expense. Wonderful swimming and snorkeling, the heavenly setting!

On the island of Ile de la Fourche, off the coast of St. Barts the Herds of wild goats are the most obvious inhabitants on the cactus covered rocky hills of this island. Have an afternoon snorkel and keep your eyes out for the sea turtles that are often seen here. Climb to the top of one of Fourche’s five peaks and take in the panoramic view of the Leeward Islands as the sun sets. If you are there in the spring, look for humpback whales as they migrate south.

This beautiful stretch of beach is cozy little hideaway. Cliffs and rock surrounding the beach create a unique atmosphere at this beautiful location. The broken shells cover the beach, so it isn’t your typical Caribbean soft, white, and fine sand kind of beach, but this is exactly what gives the beach more character!
The water is usually calm, so you can snorkel around the rocks and the aquatic life here will keep you in the water for hours!
Tacked under the hill, the Shelona restaurant has a nice selection of culinary delights to make a beautiful lunch.
But before lunch you may to test your courage and try jumping off one of the cliffs!
Or you can cheer for someone else to do so – either way this excitement will build your appetite for lunch!
